He graduated from Defiance High School in 1956, received a BA in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College, and in 1973, an MBA. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Louise Seebauer in 1959, and they resided in Cleveland, England, Pittsburgh and San Francisco before relocating to San Antonio in 1994. Read More	William Jacob Vandemark, 71, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Bill was born to the late Harold and Thelma Vandemark, April 27, 1938, in Defiance, Ohio. He graduated from Defiance High School in 1956, received a BA in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College, and in 1973, an MBA. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Louise Seebauer in 1959, and they resided in Cleveland, England, Pittsburgh and San Francisco before relocating to San Antonio in 1994. Bill was a businessman who, at age 38, became vice president of the Steel Division of Foseco Inc. In 1979, he moved to Pittsburgh to start a Technical Trade School. After it became one of the most successful computer-aided drafting schools in the East, he sold it to pursue interests in real estate development. Eventually, he founded a specialty chemicals company, where he developed RejuvaSeal, a product that is now used to treat asphalt roads and airport runways worldwide. Bill spent a lifetime traveling the globe. He journeyed in the Amazon, across China and throughout Europe with his family. He had an innate love of nature and an affinity with animals. Most weekends you could find Bill in the yard pruning his roses and nurturing his garden, as his dog, Pete, followed him around. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carol; his three children, Angie, Todd, and Beth, and her husband, John; a grandson, Justin; and a great-stepgranddaughter, Lauren. He is also survived by his sister, Frankie Weible; and his brother, Clarence Vandemark. A viewing will be held from 9-10:30. Saturday morning at Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A graveside service will immediately follow at Brunersburg Cemetery with Father Thomas Oedy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or a charitable organization of your choice.
