Allenbaugh, 67, of Ellensburg passed away at his home on Sunday, November 13, 1994. He was born on July 23,1927 in Fairbanks, Alaska, a son of William H. and Louise (Rathgens) Allenbaugh. Mr. Allenbaugh married Blanche Rose Lease on June 5, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 4, 1967. He joined the U. S. Army on January 8, 1952 and transferred to the Army Reserve on December 9, 1953. While serving in the Korean War, he received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation as a member of 1X Corp for "bold and valiant defense." Mr. Allenbaugh and Beverly M. (Farmer) Clarke were married on March 18, 1980. He was a good husband and father and loved the outdoors. Mr. Allenbaugh was member of the Field and Stream Club, National Rifle Association and the Trappers Association. He owned a dog team that he loved to use in the mountains. He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Ellensburg; daughters, Diana Kay (Bill Sorenson of Chattaroy, Washington, Robin Rae (Mike) Tarbert of Sandpoint, Idaho; and Jennifer Jo (Mark) Butcher of Ft. Eustis, Virginia; son, William James (Carole) Allenbaugh of Kennewick, Washington; four granddaughters; six grandsons; stepsons, Terance (Carolyn) Clarke of Battle Ground, Washington and Arthur (Kim) Clarke of Walla Walla; stepdaughters, Brigid Clarke and Teresa Clarke both of Ellensburg; and brothers, George Allenbaugh of Bethel, Alaska and Edward Allenbaugh of Eatonville, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his brother, David, and his sister, Louise Edna (Allenbaugh) Teter. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 1994 at High Valley Cemetery in Ellensburg, Washington. Pastor Tim Owen will be officiating. Viewing will be held at Steward & Williams Chapel on Tuesday, November 15, 1994 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society.
