Description	:	William Jasper Winters was born in Lawrence county, Ind. March 23, 1834. At the age of 18 moved with his parents to Carroll county, Ill. and was married to Miss Elizabeth Fowler, December 18, 1854. From there they moved to Tama county, Iowa in the spring of 1882 and seven years later removed to Knox county, Neb., buying a farm northeast of Creighton, on which he has since resided. He died on January 25, 1906. Funeral services were held from the home last Saturday conducted by Rev. Foxworthy and interment made in the Creighton Cemetery. Mr. Winters was a... Mr. Winters was a man whom all honored and respected. His neighbors having nothing but good words for him and they all feel their loss keenly and the esteem in which he was held was fully demonstrated by the large number that turned out to pay their last respects. He had been a consistent member of the United Brethren church for forty-eight years. He leaves a wife and five children; W.E. Winters of Tracer, Iowa, J.P. Winters of Hubbard, Iowa, Mrs. E.C. Witwer, Mrs. W.A. Robinson and Miss Viola Winters of Creighton to mourn his death. The entire community extends sympathy to the bereaved.
