Griffiths, 83 years old, for many years active in the coal mining industry here, died at 10:22 p.m. Saturday at his home, 329 North Washington street. His wife, Ann Griffiths, preceded him in death on August 29, 1933. He was a member of Commercial lodge No. 128, I.O.O.F., and Elim Sanctorium No. 226 at Oskaloosa. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Eugene Beach, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
