Description	:	BIO: William Johnson was a Civil War Veteran, serving in Company C, 7th Iowa Infantry Regiment. He was appointed Fife Major on August 30, 1861 from Company C and mustered out in 1863. William Johnson and Eliza Jane Rhinehart were married in Guernsey County, Ohio on June 7, 1849. Two of their 3 children, Frances "Fanny" Johnson (1851-1882) and James E. Johnson (1853-1868) were born in Guernsey County, Ohio. It is not known when they moved to Mahaska County, Iowa but William, Eliza J. and the two children are in the 1860 FEDERAL CENSUS, OSKALOOSA TOWNSHIP...
