Description	:	STONEVILLE – William Junior Mabe, 75, of 1727 River Road, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. The light in those beautiful brown eyes may have faded but the love that was given to all he knew will last forever. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 27, 2009, at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery with Reverend David Atkins officiating. The light in those beautiful brown eyes may have faded but the love that was given to all he knew will last forever. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 27, 2009, at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery with Reverend David Atkins officiating. William, the son of the late Troy and Mary Hall Mabe, was raised a Stokes County farmer, loved the land. He farmed, raised tobacco, before going to work at Madison Throwing Co. (MacField, Inc.) and Unifi for 30 years. He was an avid gardener, loved North Carolina Tar Heels and Jeff Gordon. William, a loving kind soul, cared for everyone. He will be remembered for his big smile and laugh. William loved his family more than life itself. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lonzie Mabe; a sister, Beaulah Davis, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Mitchell. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lila Roberts Mabe; daughters, Paula Mitchell and husband, Franklin "Pinkie", of Madison; Donna Vaden and husband, David, of Mayodan; a grandson, Joseph Mitchell and wife, Shannon, of Danbury; two beautiful great-granddaughters, the light of his life, Sierra and Brittany Mitchell; and one stepgrandson, David Eric Vaden of Mayodan. He is also survived by brothers, Alex Mabe and wife, Nancy, of Stoneville, Lester Mabe and wife, Annie Faye, of King; sisters, Louise Priddy, of Danbury, Lenis Chatman of Stoneville, Nellie Dunlap of Sandy Ridge; special sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Burton Thomas of Stoneville, who were his loving angels in his time of need, , and many loving nieces and nephews. To all who loved him, you know in your hearts, there is a special angel watching down on all of us.
