Description	:	Daddy was born in Albany Indiana where he was the 8th child of William "Sherd" and Harriett "Hattie" Barlow. They lived on State street where the Albany Elementary School now stands Grandma and Grandpa had come from Lawrence County Ohio in the very early 1900s so Grandpa could work at McCormic Brothers Papermill. Grandma and Grandpa also brought with them Great Grandma and Grandpa Jarvis and Great Grandma and Grandpa Barlow and most of their kids. Daddy married first to Margaret Read and they had my 1/2 brother, Richard "Dick" Barlow. Daddy and Margaret lived in Muncie, Indiana. I think that Daddy was happiest working for the Ohio Bus Lines because he loved to tell stories about the passengers and driving the routes. That is where he met my Mom who would take his bus from Liberty to her job in Richmond. Despite the age difference they got married and had yours truly. We lived in Alquina on a small farm and Daddy helped Grandpa farm, but his heart was not really into it. When the D&M in Connersville was hiring, he went and put his name in every day and eventually was hired where he worked for eight years. He lifted something and ruptured discs in his back and had to take retirement. Daddy was a kind and gentleman. He was soft spoken and enjoyed the company of friends and family. He enjoyed Mom's genealogy hobby and we took many trips talking to relatives and visiting cemeteries. We also took many trips to Michigan to visit his sister, Iney and her husband Lee. Aunt Iney and Uncle Lee were like my substitute Grandparents. Daddy died of a heart attack and I always felt bad because Mom was home with me and I had the flu really bad. Mom loved Dad with all her heart and never even thought of remarrying after he died.
