In Annals of Platte co MO by Paxton it says 'William Kerr died. Son of Moses Kerr. William Kerr married Elizabeth Dugan. For his son Ezra Kerr it said he 'came to Platte in 1844 and settled five miles east of Platte City. Eztra Kerr his son was born Aug 22 1831 in Holmes Co. OH and would have been just 13 yrs old so assume this means his parents migrated from Holmes Co OH into early Platte Co MO in 1844. It further said that William Kerr was a 'farmer near the line of Clay County.'

At least two of his children later stated their father was from PA, but that is not certain.
Note on William Kerr. Annals of Platte Co MO stated he married 2nd in 1849 Sarah V. Hungerford (who had first married Charles Hungerford and had four children) nee' Payne born in Fleming Co KY Feb 14 1810. There is an unknown Sarah Kerr (no dates given) also buried in Smith Cemetery. One child Louisa Alice Kerr born 1851 had death cert parents listed as William Kerr and 2nd wife Sarah Payne. This was Sarah Vansandt Payne born 15 Feb 1810 Fleming Co KY who married 12 Sept 1837 in Fleming Co KY, Charles Hungerford. She was the daughter of Zadock/Zadok Payne and Mary Polly Vansandt. Her father Zadok Payne 1780-1855 is buried in Payne Cemetery, Fleming Co KY) .
