Description	:	William L. “Bill” Wusk, 73, of Tecumseh formerly of Sterling died at his home on February 24, 2015. He was born on April 17, 1941 at rural Sterling and graduated from Sterling High School in 1959. He worked for Cob Van Groningen in the produce store for several years. He was a full-time farmer until the late 1980's and then started working for Nebraska Boiler until his retirement. In 1975, he was severely injured in a train accident which dramatically changed his life but he persevered in the challenges he faced. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church... Read More	William L. “Bill” Wusk, 73, of Tecumseh formerly of Sterling died at his home on February 24, 2015. He was born on April 17, 1941 at rural Sterling and graduated from Sterling High School in 1959. He worked for Cob Van Groningen in the produce store for several years. He was a full-time farmer until the late 1980's and then started working for Nebraska Boiler until his retirement. In 1975, he was severely injured in a train accident which dramatically changed his life but he persevered in the challenges he faced. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling. He was a Husker fan, especially men and women's basketball and enjoyed attending their games. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Harvest Bowl in Tecumseh and the Jet Stop in Sterling. Survivors include two brothers, George Wusk of Lincoln and Harlan Wusk and wife Robin of Firth; four sisters, Judy Koch and husband Gerald of Lincoln, Marilyn Tabor of Raymond, Vera Sobotka and husband Dave of Prescott, AZ and Suzanne Goracke and husband Joe of Sterling; one brother-in-law, Galen Parde of Filley; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Irene Wilson Wusk; one sister, Ruth Parde; great-nephew, Nathaniel Longstein; one sister-in-law, Doris Wusk. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling with Pastor Steve Chellew officiating. Inurnment of the cremains will be in the Sterling Cemetery of Sterling. A memorial has been established to the family's choice and designations may be made to the Sterling FFA Chapter with Shannon and Erma Hazen in charge. A guestbook for signatures will be available at Zink-Fox Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2015. Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling in charge of arrangements.
