"BRYSON CITY - William Lafayette Watson, 83, died Wednesday morning in a local hospital after a period of declining health. Mr. Watson was a retired farmer. Surviving are four sons, Edward, Dewey, Dillard and Vernon Watson, all of Bryson City; two daughters, Mrs. Luther Reagan of Thurmond, N. C. and Mrs. Geneva Crisp of Bryson City; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Rollins of Selma, Ala. and Mrs. Julia Beck of Franklin; 18 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Deep Gap Baptist Church. The Rev. E. H. Dorsey and the Rev. Jack E. Hyde will officiate. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers." |
