Description	:	Bill became interested in the history of surrounding towns and cemeteries, with a special interest in the quarry towns of East Sioux Falls and Rowena. Through his continued interest and work, he became known as the area historian and genealogist. Bill was a lifetime member of the Rowena United Methodist Church. He was church historian and served as a lay leader since 1934. Bill and his family had a special tradition. For many years, he conducted walking tours of the Cemetery during Memorial Day weekend, telling the history of the famous and not so famous buried there. He would often share stories or anecdotes that were unknown to most people. Bill also led tours of the Cemetery for the Sioux Falls Park Board and for school groups. Since 1984, Bill has been a member of the Board of Trustees at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. He was Cemetery historian and often hosted funerals.
