Goldsberry was born in Bracken county, Ky., Feb. 14th, 1830, and departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mr. T. W. Myers at Russellville, Ohio, June 11th, 1905, aged 75 years, 3 months and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Sara Crawford in 1851. To this union were born eight children, five of whom are living, Mrs. J. N. Calbert, of Dillsboro, Ind., Mrs. J. H. Short, of Walnut Hills, Mrs. J. P. Richey, of Cincinnati, Mrs. T. W. Myers and Mr. Jno. Goldsberry, of Russellville, O. He was a member of the Masonic Order and the Christian church. He had a stroke of Paralysis three years ago and gradually declined until God called him home. Although an invalid for over three years he never murmured or complained of his lot, but always found consolation and cheer in his blessed Savior and the hope of a glorious immortality beyond this world of sorrow and pain. During his life and years of affliction he was always an example of cheer and hope to his devoted wife and loving children. He leaves to mourn their loss, a devoted wife, four daughters, one son, seven grand children, four great-grand children, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home, Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. Walker Mefford, and the remains laid to rest in Linwood cemetery.
