Marsh February 19,1849-September 26,1933 ************* Mr. Marsh went hunting and to see about his fishing Tackle .When he never returned that night, his wife and the neighbors went looking for him. They roamed the hills and hollers until Thursday where his clothes and his gun were found, on the banks of the river near, Slick Rock Schoales , then it was decided he wadded into the river to see about some fishing tackle. Marsh February 19,1849-September 26,1933 *********** Mr. Marsh went hunting and to see about his fishing Tackle .When he never returned that night, his wife and the neighbors went looking for him. They roamed the hills and hollers until Thursday where his clothes and his gun were found, on the banks of the river near, Slick Rock Schoales , then it was decided he wadded into the river to see about some fishing tackle. So the party began to drag the river for his body. Late Friday afternoon Mr. At. T. Luna, found the body floating down the ribver near 'PinHook" A distance of between 8 & 10 miles from on the Caney Fork River, near Pin Hook. The entire community turned out to help find him and continued until he was found. as per Obit. He was 83. A member of the New Union the Baptish Church. He was survived by his wife, Laminda Sanders Marsh, 2 sons, Irdell Marsh and Reuben Marsh, three daughters, Mrs. I. M. (Rassie) Moore ; Mrs. J. P. ( Roshie ) Jones and Mrs. Samuel ( Etta) Walker Obitutary said he was raised as an orphan and always gave libertly to all the means of the orphans in the community.
