Description	:	William Michael Choplin, 68, of Henderson, NC died Friday, December 15, 2017 at his home. Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late William McKinley and Hattie Harris Choplin. Mr. Choplin was the owner and operator of William Choplin Trucking Co. He was a member of South Henderson Church of God and retired from the Vance County Rescue Squad and the U.S. Army Reserve. He was an avid deer hunter. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at South Henderson Church of God, conducted by Rev. Jonathan Fuson and Rev. Gary Harper. Surviving are a daughter, Angela Williams (Adam); a son, Mike Brer Choplin; four grandchildren, Tiffany Livengood (Mike), Trinity Williams, Tatumn Williams, and Trista Williams; and a great-grandchild, Madalyn Livengood. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service at the church. All other times, they will be at the home of Mike Choplin, 2515 Stewart Farm Road, Henderson. Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Smith, Cliff Walker, Bobby Burroughs, Hartwell Keeton, Larry Satterwhite, Don Eatmon, Sam Atkinson, James Pendergrass, Ron Dorsey, and Ray Hight. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Henderson Church of God, 125 J.P. Taylor Road, Henderson, NC 27537. Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
