Church in that place Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Krell, and the remains laid to rest. William Miller was born in Armaugh, Ireland, July 11, 1833. Funeral services were held from the M.E. Church in that place Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Krell, and the remains laid to rest. William Miller was born in Armaugh, Ireland, July 11, 1833. Being one of a large family of children, he was early thrown upon his own resources. While young he came to America and remained with friends in Philadelphia, Pa. Later he came to Topeka, Ill., and on May 2, 1859, he was married to Miss Diantha Ames of that place. In 1868 he came to Lucas county, Iowa, where he has since resided. He was one of the prominent citizens of the county, a successful farmer. He owned several farms, well improved, and was the owner of a number of very fine horses. He was highly respected by his neighbors and was a loving husband and father. Sixteen years ago his wife was recovering from a protracted illness when one of their sons was instantly killed. The shock was so great that her mind was unbalanced and she has never regained her reason. He was always faithful and true to her, and it is indeed sas that he should be taken away. He was the father of seven children, three of whom survive him, viz: Mrs. H.D. Clore, R.O. and J.S. Miller. The bereaved family has the sympathy of a host of friends throughout the county.
