Description	:	Will M. Taylor, 97, a retired farmer who lived in Wahoo for the past 29 years, died July 14, 1980 at the Saunders County Care Center. Taylor was born March 3, 1883, about 10 miles north of Exeter in a sod shanty. His parents made their living hauling milk from neighboring farms to the Fairmont Creamery and the Friend Cheese Factory, Will and his brother Jesse were the main team drivers, and he hired out as a farm laborer much of his youth. Taylor was born March 3, 1883, about 10 miles north of Exeter in a sod shanty. His parents made their living hauling milk from neighboring farms to the Fairmont Creamery and the Friend Cheese Factory, Will and his brother Jesse were the main team drivers, and he hired out as a farm laborer much of his youth. On February 17, 1909, he was united in marriage to Mabel Louise Husman, she died August 17, 1966 in Wahoo, NE. Two sons were born to this marriage, Stanley W., and John Henry, who died at birth. The Taylors spent most of their lives farming near Exeter, Friend and Pauline, NE. Mr. & Mrs. Taylor were well known in the Friend area and loved by their many friends in the church, and neighborhood club. Mr. Taylor served on the school distrcit No. 61 for many years. In December, 1951 they moved to Wahoo and Taylor became associated with his son as part time custodian at the Wahoo High School. Later, they both served as custodians of the ASC office. The Taylors lived on 14th street, and in April, 1979, Taylor became the first occupant of the Westview Apartments for the elderly. In April, 1980 he became a resident of the Saunders County care center as his health problems prevailed. He passed away Monday morning, July 14, 1980 at the age of 97 years. He is survived by a son Stanley & wife Grace of Wahoo, a sister, Mrs. Cassia Stephenson, Stromsburg; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services were held July 16, 1980 at the United Methodist Church, Wahoo. The Rev. Edwin G. Morrison officiated. Casket bearers were Burl Graff, Orvis Smith, Norman Hall, David Young, Robert Taylor, and Donald Veskrna. Mrs. Daryl Anderson was the organist. Ericson's - Hult Funeral Home, Wahoo, was in charge of arrangements with interment in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, NE.
