Description	:	William N. Dimitt of Banning, California, passed away from this earth on February 25, 2015. Born on October 4, 1927, he was the son of J. Dane and Nellie J. Dimitt. A 1945 graduate of Kokomo High School, he lived the first 75 years of his life in Kokomo, Indiana. Bill was married to Doris J. “Pat” Dimitt for nearly 55 years. She preceded him in death in 2001. Read More	William N. Dimitt of Banning, California, passed away from this earth on February 25, 2015. Born on October 4, 1927, he was the son of J. Dane and Nellie J. Dimitt. A 1945 graduate of Kokomo High School, he lived the first 75 years of his life in Kokomo, Indiana. Bill was married to Doris J. “Pat” Dimitt for nearly 55 years. She preceded him in death in 2001. He married Rosemary (Austin) Dimitt in 2002 and began a new life in Southern California. Bill is survived by his wife, Rosemary, of Banning; his son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Angela (Hopkins) Dimitt, of The Villages, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. His daughter, Teresa, and brothers, Joseph, James, and Ralph, and sister, Florence, all preceded him in death. Bill’s endeavors were in the family owned Dimitt Meat Packing business, which transformed into his sole proprietorship of the Dimitt Meat Company. He later engaged in a highly successful sales career, culminating in his retirement with the Sears, Roebuck, and Co. Bill loved people and had a special zest for life. He loved playing golf and was active in league bowling. A highly accomplished duplicate bridge player, he was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and attained the milestone rank of Gold Life Master. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster, Kokomo. Pastor Jeff Evans will officiate. Entombment of cremains will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo.
