Read More	Mr. William Oliver "Bill" James, age 74, a resident of Elk Grove, California and De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 3, 2014, in Kaiser Hospital, Sacramento, California. He was born to Dannavey and Dora Blanton James in Wickes, Arkansas, on December 29, 1939. Bill served in the military with the U. S. Army, and was a general contractor. He was retired owner of Hillside Apartments in De Queen. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Elk Grove, California, and enjoyed hunting, camping out, boating, building, 4-wheeling, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Vernon, Cecil, J. D., Kenneth, Danny Jo, Faye, Geneva, and Anna Mae, Edward. He is survived by his wife of over 51 years of Elk Grove, Calif., a son of De Queen, a daughter and son-in-law of Elk Grove, California, five grandchildren, all of Elk Grove, California, a brother and sister-in-law, of Nashville, Arkansas, three sisters and brothers-in-law, and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bill James will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 8th in the Daniel Cemetery with Bobby Tatum, Minister officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
