Read More	William O Swindal who took sick on Saturday March 28 and after two days of serious illness passed away at the Community Hospital in Grinnell at the age of 50 years. Burial was in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom, Iowa. William Ozro Swindal was the son of Francis John and Emmer J Swindal. He was born in Bear Creek township, Poweshiek County, Iowa. He was the oldest of a family of three. At the age of six the family moved to the farm one mile south of Malcom which was his home every since. He attended school at Pleasant #1 until he was 13 and then entered the Malcom City School. During a revival service at the Methodist Church Will and the boys of his Sunday School class went to the altar of prayer and united with the Malcom Methodist Church on the 22 June 1902. Through the years he has given loyal service and devotion and at the time of his death was a member of the Offical Board as a Steward. On March 10, 1923 he married Josephine M Giles of Waukee, Iowa. To this union were born two daughters; Betty and Ruth. Upon his marriage his parents and sister moved to the home in Malcom while he assumed the work of the home farm. Like his father he was a great lover of nature, especially of farm animals, being known as a good stockman and enjoyed caring for them and watching their development. Quiet and unassuming in manner, great was his capacity for friendship as all with whom he had contact were made friends by his hearty greeting and kindly intercourse. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting and visiting with friends and neighbors in the performance of daily life and many are the friends who will miss those pleasant ministrations. While there were kindness and appreciation for all with whom he had dealings his greatest solicitude and care were for the loved ones in the home and one of the most beautiful companionships was that which existed between Will and his father. Those who knew him best realized the great lose he felt in the passing of his father on the 2nd of July 1933,
