Description	:	Thanks to contributor #48796369 William B. Plock, 83, of Comstock died Friday, April 30, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Mr. Plock was cremated. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Douglas Grove Cemetery in Comstock. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Plock was born on Jan. 10, 1916, at Bennett to Albert and Ethel (Lusk) Plock. He grew up in the Ord and Comstock areas and was educated at a country school. Mr. Plock was born on Jan. 10, 1916, at Bennett to Albert and Ethel (Lusk) Plock. He grew up in the Ord and Comstock areas and was educated at a country school. He entered the U.S. Army in March 1942, was stationed overseas as a baker for an Army unit and was discharged in December 1945. After the service, he lived in Omaha and worked as a baker. He married Phyllis May Chilewski on Sept. 18, 1948, at Council Bluffs, Iowa. The couple lived in Council Bluffs and then settled for a few years in the Comstock area, where they farmed. Mr. Plock then began a career with the Burlington Northern Railroad and worked on the railroad until his retirement. The couple lived in Comstock, Palmer and Ord. After retiring, Mr. Plock lived in Ord until moving to Comstock a few years ago. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and gardening. He also played cribbage and cards. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. Leon) Ward of Comstock; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; five sisters, Evelyn Visek of Ord, Dorothy Granger of Comstock, Shirley Hill of Broken Bow, Thelma Harris of Burwell and Betty Hruby of Oregon; and two brothers, Don Plock of Bridgeport and Alley Plock of Oregon. He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Harry, Dorsey and Morris; and four sisters, Francis Plock, Mary Brass, Ethel Fecher and Esther Dlask. The Grand Island Independent, May 8, 1999
