Description	:	William Clayton Carmichael, son of Andrew Thomas and Rebecca Ann Carmichael, was born on a farm near New Market, Iowa, on August 13, 1882, and passed away on August 15, 1950, at the age of 68 years and two days. He was united in marriage to Margaret McKinley of New Market, on December 27, 1905. To this union were born five children, Wilbur and Bill of New Market, Clifford and Ben of Clarinda, and Mrs Bert Goff of New Castle, Calif, all of whom together with their mother, survive his passing. Read More	William Clayton Carmichael, son of Andrew Thomas and Rebecca Ann Carmichael, was born on a farm near New Market, Iowa, on August 13, 1882, and passed away on August 15, 1950, at the age of 68 years and two days. He was united in marriage to Margaret McKinley of New Market, on December 27, 1905. To this union were born five children, Wilbur and Bill of New Market, Clifford and Ben of Clarinda, and Mrs Bert Goff of New Castle, Calif, all of whom together with their mother, survive his passing. He has two brothers, Clinton and Joel, of New Market, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and a host of friends. His entire life was spent in the community of New Market. He was a miner by occupation, was industrious, working right up to the day of his death. Funeral services were conducted from the Walker Funeral Home at 2 o'clock on Friday, August 18, 1950. Rev I.E. Stickelman of the New Market Church of Christ was in charge. Soft organ music was played during the entire service by Miss Aletha Hutchings at the console of the chapel organ. Casketbearers were Ben Pullan, Eldon Harris, Mike Jones, Bert Adams, Carl Arthur and Ferd Radke. Burial was in Old Memory cemetery. CLARINDA HERALD JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, Aug 31, 1950
