Description	:	OBITUARY of Bruce Harmer William Bruce Harmer was born at Wheeling, West Virginia, Feb 1, 1850; died at his home in Harper, Kansas July 13, 1910 at 12:40 p.m.; age 60 yrs 5 months and 12 days. He moved from Virginia to Danville, Iowa, when quite young, where he grew to manhood. Came to Harper, Ks in 1881. In the year of 1886 he ws married to Miss Elizabeth Jones at Uttica, Mo taking up their residence at Harper, Ks. To this union were born 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter; Perry, Wallace and Gladys all being at home at the time of death. Mr. Harmer had 4 sisters and 3 brothers; 2 sisters and 1 brother preceeding him in death; 2 brothers and 2 sisters living. Mrs. Nancy E. Warren of Sioux City Iowa; Mrs R. W. Shepherd of Pond Creek, Okla; D. G. Harmer of Thermolits, Colo.; and S. S. Harmer of Omaha, Nebraska. The funeral took place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at his late reisdence, conducted by Rev. A. G. Alexander and assisted by Rev. M. B. Ingle. A large number of sympathizing friends were in attendance to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed and to add a word of comfort to the bereaved relatives.
