Foster-Randall, was born in Carroll county, Ohio, May 7, 1833, and died at his home in Marshall county, Iowa, April 9, 1910, aged 76 years, 11 months and 2 days. Mr. Randall was united in marriage with Marintha Rickord, on October 19, 1855, at Toledo, Iowa, by the late Judge Vermilya. Thirteen children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. Randall was united in marriage with Marintha Rickord, on October 19, 1855, at Toledo, Iowa, by the late Judge Vermilya. Thirteen children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. Terrill, of Garwin; George L., of Lake Mills; John E., of Montour; Charles C., of La Moille; Ira A., of Cottage Grove, Ore.; William G., of Liscomb; Zee E., of Dorris, California; all of whom with the exception of the two sons residing in the west were home to attend the funeral. Other relatives who came to pay their last respects to the departed were: Mr. & Mrs. L. M. Tuttle and E. R. Tuttle of Melbourne; Henry Tuttle, Jr., of Lorimor; Mrs. John Randall and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Randall, William J. Randall and Mrs. N. A. Wintrowd, of Toledo; Jay Gettis, of Leland; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson, of La Moille; Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Clancy, of Hubbard; Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Daugherty and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Daugherty, of Quarry; Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lippincott, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Richards, Theresa and Grace Gettis, of Garwin; and Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Rowan and Mrs. Edd. Pelham, of Marshalltown. The funeral was held at the Iowa River church of the Brethern, of which Mr. Randall was a member, on Tuesday, April 12, at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. M. Wheeler. Interment in the church cemetery. William Randall was the last of a family of ten children, eight of whom grew to manhood and womanhood. In early manhood he came overland with his parents from Ohio to Tama County, Iowa, where he resided until 1887, when he moved to Marion township, in Marshall county, where on Oct. 19, 1905, he and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Shortly afterward Mr. Randall lost his eyesight and he and Mrs. Randall went to live with their eldest daughter, Mrs. Henry Tuttle, in Clark county. They moved back to Marshall county in March of this year."
