He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Beverly Diane Criner, his son Thomas Neal Saunders, his brother Keith Douglas Saunders (Butch), his sisters Elizabeth Lucas and Louise Snider. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Beverly Diane Criner, his son Thomas Neal Saunders, his brother Keith Douglas Saunders (Butch), his sisters Elizabeth Lucas and Louise Snider. He leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law Bruce William and Susan Saunders of Mocksvillle, NC; his seven grandchildren; his thirteen great-grandchildren; and his nine great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. At Bill’s request there will be no public visitation time. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
