Read More	MASLIN JR., WILLIAM R., died on April 7, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS after a short illness. He was 93. At the time of his death he resided in Columbus at the Arrington having moved there from Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, Maryland in 2011. He was born and grew up in Port Chester, NY and was a veteran of World War Two, serving as an officer in the US Army Air Corps. He graduated from The University of Maryland in mechanical engineering in 1947 and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was a longtime Maryland resident, settling in Jarrettsville after World War II, then moving to Towson and Silver Spring before retiring in Mechanicsville and then Annapolis. Most of his career was spent in the defense and consulting industries, and he held numerous leadership positions in service and community organizations. An avid boater since childhood, he was a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club and owned a variety of sailboats and powerboats that he enjoyed on the Chesapeake Bay. He loved music and sang in choirs from before he could read until he was 90, directing many along the way. He was also a lifelong and very faithful member of the Episcopal Church. He was married to Dorothy Maslin, the love of his life, for 68 years and was predeceased by Dorothy and by his sister, Margaret Wilhelm. He is survived by three sons: William (and Nebbie) of Starkville, Mississippi, Thomas (and Cheryl) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and John (and Mary Ann) of Highland, Maryland. He is also survived by four grandchildren: William Maslin of Houston, Texas, Ginny Maslin of Houston, Texas, Michael Maslin of Burtonsville, Maryland, and Melinda Robins (and Ken) of Beltsville, Maryland. He was a good and honorable man, a great dad, and left this world with no regrets. We are proud of the life he lived, and we will really miss him. A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Crownsville, MD, at a future date. Memorials may be sent to: The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, P.O.
