Fielder. 51. of Fortuna, was killed by a falling tree Wednesday afternoon at the Yager Creek logging operation of the Pacific Lumber Company. He had been with the company since 1934. According to report, Fielder and another woodsman had felled one tree and were working on another when a third tree became uprooted and fell on Fielder. He died about fifteen minutes later. M., of Fortuna, and of the Fortuna Methodist church. He Is survived by his wife, Geraldine Fielder of Fortuna; two sons, Lee Fielder of Fortuna and Rodney Fielder of San Jose; two daughters, Yvonne Fielder of Gilroy, and Joy Fielder of Oregon State College; a brother, Leland Fielder of Rohnerville; five sisters, Mrs. Anabel Holstein of Sunnyvale, Mrs. Ruby Rodoni of Sunnyvale, Mrs. Elizabeth Woodcock of Eureka, Mrs. Dorothy Poe of Scotia, and Mrs. Ilah Wendt of Rohnerville; and a grand-daughter, Krlstina Fielder of San Jose. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p. m., at Goble's Fortuna mortuary, with the Rev. Dale J. Nicholson officiating. Graveside services will be held under the auspices of the Eel River lodge F. and A. M., and interment will be In Ocean View cemetery at Eureka.
