He was a native of Highland Township, and had lived in Greenville for the past ten years. Mr. Gosnell was a member of Mountain Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Tucker Gosnell; six daughters, Mrs. John Strickland, Hendersonville, N.C.; Mrs. W.A. Clark, Schoolfield, Va.; Mrs. R.A. Ellington, Mrs. W.G. Turner, Mrs. W.D. Wakefield and Mrs. J.T. Cook, Jr. Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Susan Howard, Tacapau; Mrs. Wesley Moon and Mrs. G.V. Smith, Highland Township; four brothers, M.L. Gosnell, Highland Township; Henry Gosnell, Oneal Township; James Gosnell, Holly Springs in Spartanburg County and Reuben Gosnell, Greenville. GOSNELL Funeral services for William R. Gosnell, who died at his home, 7 Locust Avenue, this city, Tuesday night following a week's illness, will be held from Highland Baptist Church near Tigerville, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. W.H. Harbin will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. Jim Howard and the Rev. Harmon Davis. Interment will be made in the Church Cemetery. Pending the hour of the service, the body will be at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.G. Turner, 2 Locust Avenue. The pallbearers are requested to meet at No. 2, Locust Avenue this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and are as follows: Active, Jack Frye, Herman Smith, Claude Madden, J.A. Simpson, Jim Cooke and Marvin Webb; honorary pallbearers, W.C. Bice, Dewey Stover, R.F. Craigo, Jess Bramlett, E.L. Craigo, Ed Clayburn, Charlie Rhew, A.C. Batson, Doc Page, Harrison Bridgeman and H.J. Clark. Mr. Gosnell, 58, was born and reared in Highland Township, this county, being the son of the late James Gosnell and Mary Bridgeman Gosnell. For the past ten years he had resided with his family in this city and leaves many friends to mourn his death. He was a member of the Mountain Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Tucker Gosnell; six daughters, Mrs. John Strickland, Hendersonville, N.C., Mrs. W.A. Clark, Schoolfield, Va.; Mrs. R.A. Ellington, Mrs. W.G. Turner, Mrs. W.D. Wakefield, Mrs. J.T.Cooke, Jr., all of Greenville. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Susan Howard, Tacapau; Mrs. Wesley Moon and Mrs. G.V.
