Description	:	Son of the late Harold and Josephine (Ruggles) Whitcomb. He spent most of his life in Littleton and was a graduate of Littleton High School, class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was stationed on the USS Wisconsin. He worked as a driver for Kleenit Inc. of Ayer for several years before operating Littleton News, delivering newspapers for 20 years. Read More	Son of the late Harold and Josephine (Ruggles) Whitcomb. He spent most of his life in Littleton and was a graduate of Littleton High School, class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was stationed on the USS Wisconsin. He worked as a driver for Kleenit Inc. of Ayer for several years before operating Littleton News, delivering newspapers for 20 years. He also became director of the Park Department in Littleton, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was very active in the town of Littleton, where he was the Veteran's Agent for the past three years and organized the annual Memorial Day parades. He also served the town's Civil Defense organization as shelter officer for numerous years. He was president of the Businessmen's Bowling League for more than 35 years and was a member of the Hornets men's softball organization. He was a member of the American Legion and the Littleton VFW Post #249. He was especially fond of the former VFW minstrel shows and played Santa Clause at many private and town functions. He was a member of the First Church Unitarian of Littleton, where he was recently designated Deacon Emeritus. He is survived by his wife Elaine (Falangas) Andruchow-Whitcomg. He was the father of Allen R. Whitcomb, James N. Whitcomb, Donald C. Whitcomb, and Karen E. Whitcomb. He was also the fater of Sharon B. Sturtevan, Michael Andruchow and Lisa Andruchow, and the late Thomas W. Whitcomb. He was the brother of Harold and his wife Elvira Whitcomb, David A. Whitcomb and Mrs. Hugh (Mildren) McGovern and the late Edward N. Whitcomb. He is also survived by nine granchildren. (full copy on cemeteyr website)
