He sought no sympathy for his physical disability, and gave it none himself. He became a symbol to his scores of friends and athletic associates—a tribute to the youth of today. STEVE is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Arledge; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. William Arledge, Rt. 5 Lancaster; two brothers, Brian and Tracy, of the home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brown, Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Arledge, Hide-A-Way Hills; great- grandparents, Mrs. Jennie L. Brown, Logan, Mrs. Grace Bay, Lancaster, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Arledge, Oakthorpe. He was a member of Grace United Evangelical Reformed Church and DeMolay. Services will be conducted Monday, 1:30 p.m., at Ward Halteman Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry G. Yaggi will officiate. Burial is to be in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. DeMolay services Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Cancer Fund or to the building fund of Grace Church.
