Willison, 80, of Eckhart, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, where he was peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones. Mr. Willison was a well-known mechanic who owned and operated Willison's Garage in Eckhart. Born March 19, 1930, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edith Willison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. (Finzel) Willison, who passed away Sept. 23, 2009; one daughter, Jane Ruth (Willison) Kane, who passed away on Sept. 12, 2008; one sister, Doris Rosenberger, and one brother, Robert Willison. Willison, 80, of Eckhart, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, where he was peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones. Mr. Willison was a well-known mechanic who owned and operated Willison's Garage in Eckhart. Born March 19, 1930, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edith Willison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. (Finzel) Willison, who passed away Sept. 23, 2009; one daughter, Jane Ruth (Willison) Kane, who passed away on Sept. 12, 2008; one sister, Doris Rosenberger, and one brother, Robert Willison. Surviving are his daughters, Linda A. Garlitz, of Eckhart, Debra K. Willison and fiancee Donny Miller, of Mount Savage, and Heather "sweet knees" Rowe, of Eckhart; stepchildren, Lynne McKenzie and husband Charles, of Finzel, Jane Twist, of Florida, Clarence Glass and wife Patricia, of Eckhart, Karl Glass and wife Peggy, of Montana, and Pete Glass, of Frederick; grandchildren, Kristina "Garlitz" Goodrich and husband Gene, of Frostburg, Richard Lee Garlitz and fiancée Krista Kay Nolan, of Mount Savage, William "Billy" Willison and wife Melanie, of Frostburg, Shane Glass, of Montana, and Dominic Kane and Shannon Harris, of California; 19 stepgrandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brothers, James Willison, of Eckhart, and Paul Willison and wife JoAnn, of Frostburg; one sister, Betty Shannon and husband Ed, of Florida; a very special friend of 28 years, Virginia King and daughter, Valerie and grandsons, Douglas and John. A graveside memorial service will be held at Finzel Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Joe Pennick officiating. A luncheon will held at Meshach Frost Village Community Building on State Street following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in Bees memory.
