They were the parents of three boys, William Jr, Dennis and Chester Allen. After he was honorably discharged in 1945, Bill returned to the family farm, where he continued to farm. Bill enjoyed fishing, playing cards and taking care of his orchard. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening.
