Read More	William Thomas “Bill” Swilley, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Lisbon, AR. He was born August 23, 1933 to Frank Ernest and Nellie Lee Flournoy Swilley in Kilgore, TX. He married Betty Francille Sewell on March 5, 1954 in Little Rock, AR. Bill was drafted into the United States Army on March 9, 1954 and served until March of 1956. Bill attended school in Smackover. He worked as a fireman at the El Dorado Fire Department before being drafted. After serving in the Army, he worked at American Oil until the company moved out of El Dorado. He then farmed in the Lisbon area raising chickens, cows, pigs and sheep, and later owned and operated a dairy farm. He was a member of the Lisbon United Methodist Church and a past member of the Union County Cattlemen’s Association. His family was also named Union County Farm Family of the Year. Preceding him in death are his parents; grandson, Aaron Thomas Swilley; and sister, Carol Lambert. Survivors include his wife of 66 1/2 years, Betty Francille Sewell Swilley of Lisbon; sons, Cliff Swilley and wife Rindy, and Tracy Swilley and wife Rhonda of Parkers Chapel; grandchildren, Adam Swilley (Jennipher) of Haskell, AR, Dianna Swilley of West Monroe, LA, and Amanda Brown (Harvey) of Parkers Chapel; great grandchildren, Owen Swilley, Addalyn and Emma Adams, Karley and Wesson Koon; brothers, Frank “Buck” Swilley (Eva Nell) of El Dorado, Calvin Swilley of Smackover; sisters, Mary Nell Benton of Camden, Helen Darden of Lisbon, and Dianne Haynie (George) of El Dorado; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Lisbon United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to the Lisbon Cemetery Fund c/o Robin Darden, 7208 Mt. Holly Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
