Description	:	William Thomas Rosensteel was born January 30, 1893, in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland, the son of James Augustine and Anna G. Eiker Rosensteel. On December 18, 1922, in Thurmont, Frederick County, he married Mary Anna Freeze, daughter of Luther Morris and Anna Key Martin Freeze. They were the parents of a son who died at birth. It appears they had no other children and left no descendants. William passed away April 15, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was buried on the 19th in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Emmitsburg. Wedding announcement for Mary Anna Freeze and William Thomas Rosensteel from the Frederick Daily News of Saturday, December 23, 1922: "HYMENEAL. Rosensteel---Freeze. On Monday afternoon, December 18, Miss Mary A. Freeze, of Thurmont, and William Rosensteel, of Mount St. Mary's, were united in marriage at the rectory, by Rev. Thomas J. Wheeler, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few friends and relatives of both parties. Lloyd Freeze, brother of the bride, and Miss Margaret Rosensteel, sister of the groom, were attendants. The bride wore a dark blue traveling suit, with hat and gloves to match. She has been for several years organist at Trinity Reformed and St. Stephen's Episcopal Churches." From the Frederick News of Wednesday, April 6, 1960: "Mr. William Rosensteel of West Patrick Street, who had his toes on his left foot amputated at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, is reported in satisfactory condition." Rosensteel, aged 66, of Frederick, died Friday at 2 p.m.,at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was born in Emmitsburg, the son of the late James and Anna Eiker Rosensteel. Mr. Rosensteel was also a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Frederick. Survivors include one sister and two brothers: Miss Margaret Rosensteel and Edward and George Rosensteel, all of Emmitsburg. The body rests at the M. L. Creager and Son funeral home in Thurmont. Funeral arrangements will be announced." Obituary for William Thomas Rosensteel from the Frederick News-Post of Monday, April 18, 1960: "William T. Prayers will be recited this evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Requiem mass will be conducted Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church near Emmitsburg. Rev. Vincent Tomolski will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Emmitsburg."
