Mr. McGee, 90, of Florence, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, in Carolinas Hospital System. He was born June 15, 1918, in Florence SC to the late John William Jesse and Mary Jane Mullis McGee. He was predeceased by three wives, Lyra Floyd McGee, Lola Smith McGee, and Edna Thompson McGee. He was also predeceased by brothers, James Wallace McGee, Henry S. McGee, Harry J. McGee, J. Perry McGee, and Jesse A. McGee; and a sister, Addie Mae McGee Long. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist church in Florence where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. He was a retired circulation manager with the Florence Morning News and was active with the gideons. Among his survivors are: two sons, one daughter, a nephew, two brothers, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
