Magee Jr., son of William T. and Martha D. Magee, was born at Steele City, Neb., February 23,1895. He passed from this life after an extended illness at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island, Neb., December 17,1969, at the age of 74 years 9 months, and 24 days. As a small boy, he moved with his parents to Fairbury, Neb., where he grew to manhood. May 28,1918, he entered the Armed Forces of the Untied States, and served with Company K, 355th Infantry until June 2, 1919. After his discharge from military service, he returned to Fairbury, Neb., where he was employed by the Rock Island railroad. May 11, 1920, he was united in the bonds of holy matrimony at Fairbury, Neb., with Miss Clara Heller of Geneva, Neb. Since 1955 they had made their home at Geneva, where Mr. Magee was employed at the Girls Training school until ill health caused his resignation. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mrs. Roy (Verley) Briggs. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Clara; three daughters, Juanita Houck; Mrs. Arthur (Iola) Hendrickson; and Mrs. Arthur (Wanda) Pfohl; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Collis; and Mrs. Grace Rall; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; an uncle, George Fletcher; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva, Saturday, December 20. Rev. John E. Stayton officiating Interment was in the Geneva cemetery with military services at the grave.
