The Wagoner was the driver. They were responsible for storage and maintenance of all harnesses and their designated vehicle. They also were responsible for the daily care of the animals and oversaw the loading and unloading of the vehicle and made sure that it arrived at the required destination. These soldiers were critical personnel. |
