Description	:	Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church in Nebraska City last Thursday for William Metz, 80. Burial was in the cemetery of Nebraska City. Services at the grave were in charge of the Masons. He was a former resident of Riverton (Iowa), coming here with his parents from Pennsylvania in 1874. For a number of years he was a school instructor in this community, later going to Kansas City, where he was married and where he spent the remainder of his life. Services at the grave were in charge of the Masons. He was a former resident of Riverton (Iowa), coming here with his parents from Pennsylvania in 1874. He had been employed for many years with different business firms and also was in the mail service for a time. Mrs. Metz died three years ago. Surviving are two sons, William Metz, Jr., of Nebraska City and Edwin Metz who lives in Indiana and Riverton. Attending the services from Riverton were Mrs. Jennie Stubbs, Miss Lucille Stubbs, Mr. and Mrs. William Stubbs, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Crowell, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Magaw and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dahlgrem.
