Description	:	William W. Anderson was born in Winchester, Ills., June 15, 1843, being the second oldest child of a family of eighteen children, and died at his home in Nelson, Nebr., October 17, 1925, at the age of 82 years, 4 months adn (sic) 2 days. Mr. Anderson came to this state in the early territorial days with his father, homesteading in York county (sic) in 1864. It was his to know of the early struggles of the pioneer days. Anderson was born in Winchester, Ills., June 15, 1843, being the second oldest child of a family of eighteen children, and died at his home in Nelson, Nebr., October 17, 1925, at the age of 82 years, 4 months adn (sic) 2 days. Mr. Anderson came to this state in the early territorial days with his father, homesteading in York county (sic) in 1864. It was his to know of the early struggles of the pioneer days. He was united in marriage with Millie Hendricks October 1, 1876. To this union were born two boys, James of Dallas, Texas, and Walter of Boone, Iowa. Besides these he leaves to mourn a faithful wife, six grand children, two brothers and two sisters, and a host of friends. Mr. Anderson while yet in his youth united with the Church of Christ under the preaching of John Sweeny. He has been faithful all through the years, his first thought being for the Lord's house and the Lord's day. Few suffer as long without complaining as this good brother. His years have been those of affliction, but all has been crowned with patience and waiting--waiting for the final summons. Well it might be said of him" "(He) fought a good fight, finished the course and kept the faith; henceforth there is a crown of righteousness laid up for him." Funeral services were held at the church in Nelson of which he was a member. Appropriate hymns were sung by the quartet and a floral offering from friends added a fitting benediction far above any word that could be spoken. The service was held Tuesday afternoon, conducted by his pastor, W.P. Arnold. The following out of town relatives were here Tuesday to attend the funeral of W.W. Anderson: a brother, John Anderson, McCool Junction, Nebr.; a nephew, Will Crawder, Waco, Nebr.; Joe Crawder, Exeter; and a son, W.A. Anderson, Boone, Iowa. CARD OF THANKS. We desire by this means to express our sincere appreciation of the many acts of kindness bestowed upon us during the long illness of our husband and father, and at the time of our sorrow and bereavement, and we wish to especially thank the kind friends for the lovely flowers and for the cars so kindly furnished.
