Born on May 31, 1954, in Mt Pleasant, IA, William Wesley was the son of Elvin E. and Anna Miller Myers. He attended Mt. Pleasant High School, graduating in 1972. On June 1, 1974, he married Deborah Ann Krier who passed away on December 21, 1998. On September 5, 2009, Bill married Cynthia Marie Chaney at the Myer’s home in New London. Bill started his career early at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, but shortly after he began his construction career with Vic Calhoun and “Big” John Liechty. He would eventually start his own construction company in the early 1980s. Even as much as Bill loved construction his true love was the farm. Harvest season and calving season was what he lived for. He liked to fish, hunt, camp, clean, and care for his guns. Family was very important to Bill, with his greatest joy being Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house, with lots of family around the table. Preceding Bill in death were his first wife, Deborah; his father, Elvin Myers; and a brother, Mike Myers.
