Eggleston, 88, longtime resident of this vicinity died Friday morning at, the Eldora hospital following a heart attack last Wednesday morning. He was born at New Wis., in 1868 and came to Grundy county with his parents when he was fifteen years old. He was married to Alice Saint Nov. 12, 1884. To this union one daughter was born, now Mrs. Herbert Lynn of Eldora. They lived in Grundy county until 1915 and he was a member of die Methodist church at Whitten. His membership was transferred to Eldora in 1916. Besides his daughter, he is survived by one granddaughter, Ramona Alice Lynn; two brothers, George and James of Grundy Center, and three sisters: Evelyn Watson of Barrett, Minn., Jennie Callaway of Moline, Ill., and Marlan Eggleston of Des Moincs. Since the death of his wife in 1944, ha has made his home with his 'daughter and family here. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Methodist church here in charge.of Rev. W. R. Ehlert. Burial was in the Eldora cemetery.
