He was born May 7, 1916, in Grant County, to John H. and Elva (Puckett) Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a 1934 graduate of Sweetser High School and had also attended Somerset schools. "Bill" Rogers, 90, died at 7:35 p.m. Thursday at Miller's Merry Manor West in Wabash. He was born May 7, 1916, in Grant County, to John H. and Elva (Puckett) Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a 1934 graduate of Sweetser High School and had also attended Somerset schools. He married Jane Curtis in Wabash on June 13, 1936. He was a farmer and auctioneer for 54 years, the last 20 with his grandson, Terry Mullett . Bill had been a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church since 1948 where he had been a long-time Sunday School teacher. He was a 50+ year member of Somerset Masonic Lodge and also a member of Ft. Wayne Scottish Rite, Ft. Wayne Mizpah Shrine, Wabash Shrine, and Auctioneers Association. "Bill loved golf and bowling." He is survived by his wife, Jane Rogers, Wabash; two Daughters, Vada Rogers, Arvada, Colo.; Nancy (Mick) Mullett , Wabash; son, Michael (DeAnn) Rogers, Wabash; two sisters, Ruth Burnett, Phoenix, Ariz., and Bonnie Douglass, North Manchester; brother, Earl (Georgia) Rogers, Ga.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Rogers, who died in 1952, his parents, six brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with the Rev. Earl Guingrich officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery in Wabash. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Preferred memorial is Wabash County Big Brothers/Big Sisters
