Willie Henry Wilson was born at Hillesborough, Pennsylvania, Fayette County, July 22, 1864. The deceased was taken sick with a severe case of grip which developed into typhoid pneumonia. The deceased was confined to his bed just one week. Willie Wilson was united in marriage to Martha Yeager of Carroll, Iowa, Sept. 9, 1896, to them was born one child, Beatrice A. W.H. Wilson moved with his parents to Muscatine county in 1876, later he came with his parents to Carroll county in 1880 and has since resided in the county. His was a grand and noble life thinking never of self but always how he might help others. His friends always loved to gather at his home where they always received a pleasant word and a loving smile. All who knew him will sadly miss his wise council and good advise. As a neighbor he was well liked, always ready to lend a helping hand; his first thought was always of his family, being always a kind and loving husband and father. Mrs. N.E. Wilson of Grey; Mr. Yeager, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Connor of Carroll; T.S. Wilson and wife, Manning; Mr. Santee of Iowa Falls; Mr. and Mra. A. Sheeley of Ross; Mr. and Mrs. Ankenbauer and daughter Zella, of Dedham, were in attendance at the funeral. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.W. Harned of Coon Rapids, the text being taken from James 4:14, and was laid in the cemetery at Carroll, Iowa. Coon Rapids Citizen.
