Mr. Wallace was born August 1, 1904, in Marion County, a son of the late Daniel Wallace and Mrs. Mamie Richardson Wallace. In 1920, he moved to Georgetown County. For about 15 years, he worked for the Seaboard Railroad in Andrews and Georgetown. Later, he farmed until his health failed about two years ago. He then moved to Georgetown. Wallace; a daughter, Mrs. Queenie Gibson; and two grandchildren--all of Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Foxworth of Georgetown, Mrs. Bartelle Cox of Florence, Mrs. Minnie Russell of Sumter, and Mrs. Geather Skipper of Galivants Ferry; two halfsisters, Mr. Ruth Daniels and Mrs. Lillie Mae Rabon, both of Aynor, and a halfbroter, Flagler Hucks of Aynor. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 1, 1948, at Bethel Methodist Church at Kents Crossing. The Rev. Dr. J. H. Danner, pastor of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church, officiated. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in the churchyard.
