Kingsmore Union native ROCK HILL Mr. Willis Franklin Kingsmore, 82, husband of Louise West Kingsmore, of 1969-A Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at Piedmont Medical Center after a period of declining health. Mr. Kingsmore was born in Union, July 3, 1921, a son of the late James M. and Vera Gregory Kingsmore. He was retired from Milliken & Co., Ottaray Plant, and was a graduate of Union High School. Mr. Kingsmore was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Union Elks Lodge #1321. He was a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Suzy and Audie Braddy of Rock Hill; three sisters, Mrs. R. M. (Lillie) Parks of Union, Mrs. Sam (Katherine) Spence of Augusta, and Mrs. Chandler (Audrey) Harmon of Georgetown. Graveside services with military rites will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Benny Green. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8.
