Dead are Willis Grant King, 47, of Souris and Glen McRae, 9, and Malcolm McRae, 11, both of Hayfield. In the same car were the father of the two boys, J. Howard McRae, 42, who is still lived as in garden condition in Brandon General Hospital today and two other McRae children, five year old Bruce and seven year old Douglas, both listed as in improved but still guarded condition in the Brandon General Hospital. All five members of a family in the second car were also sent to Brandon General Hospital by ambulance. Roy Adolph Kerbis and his wife Betty, both of 36 Fernwood Crescent, were reported in fair conduction today, while Brandon Hospital officials report that the three Kerbis children, Leslie, 9, Rhonda, 8, and Terry, 6, are all in good condition. Mr. King was employed at the McRae farm. The accident occurred about six miles west of the junction of Hayfield Road and Highway 10. The cars apparently met head on at the intersection of the Hayfield Road and another municipal road. The entire right side and front end of the McRae car was caused , the front and left side of the Kerbis car was substantially damaged and both cars ended up in the ditch at the southeast corner of the intersection. Funeal services will be held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Souris, on Tuesday, September 1, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Prayers will be held from Diehl’s Funeral Chapel tonight at 8 p.m. Brandon Sun, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, August 31, 1970 Willis Grant King, twin son of Leon George King and Annie Mary Reisen, was born July 2, 1923 in Halbrite, Saskatchewan, Canada. He met Helen Letkeman in Souris, Manitoba; they were married on May 15, 1948. To this union were born six children. Family was a very important part of their life. They had a great love for music. The whole family would sing at Victoria Park Lodge in Souris where for many years. This was a family time to remember. Willis passed away August 30, 1970 after 22 years of marriage. Their six children are, Denny, Norman, Elaine, Kathy, Linda (Walter) Teetaert of Harthey, Manitoba, Canada, Randy King of Rivers, Manitoba, Canada.
