He was born on December 19, 1908 near Home, Kansas, the son of Frank and Bertha (Kloxin) Graham. He and Caroline Grauer were married on February 23, 1936 at Marysville, Kansas and farmed in the Marysville, Kansas area until moving to Blue Springs, NE. in 1959. Graham, 97 years of age, of Beatrice, NE. passed away at the Beatrice Community Hospital in Beatrice, NE. Sunday morning, March 5, 2006. He was born on December 19, 1908 near Home, Kansas, the son of Frank and Bertha (Kloxin) Graham. He and Caroline Grauer were married on February 23, 1936 at Marysville, Kansas and farmed in the Marysville, Kansas area until moving to Blue Springs, NE. in 1959. He worked in the foundry at Dempster Manufacturing in Beatrice, NE. for several years until he retired in 1973. He then worked in the Foster Grandparent Program at the Beatrice State Developmental Center in Beatrice, NE. He moved from Blue Springs to the Homestead House in Beatrice, NE. in 1998 and had lived at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice, NE. for the past year. He was a member of the Evangelical United Church Of Christ in Marysville, Kansas. He enjoyed farming, reading, and visiting with people in Beatrice and Marysville. Survivors include 2 daughters; Bette Perry and her husband Elton and Mary Haecker and her husband Le Roy, all of Beatrice, NE.; 6 grandchildren, Kendra Terlson and husband Tim of Papillion, NE., Roger Perry and wife Lesley of Wentzville, MO., Michelle Milke and husband Pat of Adams, NE., Gene Wheelock and wife Patsy of Crete, NE., Sandy Lloyd and husband Jim of Lincoln, NE., and Tam Buchli and husband Bill of Fairbury, NE.; 12 great grandchildren; sister Violet Grauer of Marysville, KS.; several nieces and nephews. He was precede in death by his parents Frank and Bertha (Kloxin) Graham; wife Caroline (1984); and an infant daughter Charlene. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Evangelical United Church Of Christ, 10th and Elm Street in Marysville, KS. with Reverend Ruth Ann Jones officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice, NE. The body will lie in state from 9-9:00 Wednesday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE. and at the church one hour preceding the service on Thursday. The family will greet friends from 7-8:30 P.M. Wednesday and a family prayer service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE. A memorial has been established to the church with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE. in charge. Messages of condolence may be sent to [email protected] They will be forwarded to the family. The Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE. is in charge of the service.
