Stork Wilma Anna Elizabeth Stork, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Hagerbaumer) Panning, was born May 27, 1912 at rural Winslow, Nebraska. She grew up at rural Winslow and was a graduate of Hooper High School. She married Harvey C. Stork on January 4, 1942 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow. They were blessed with a son and two daughters. The couple farmed near Arlington most of their married life. They retired and moved into Arlington in 1978. Wilma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington, the St. Paul’s Choir, the Quilting Club and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was a member of the Arlington Over 60 Center and a former extension club member. Wilma passed from this life on Tuesday, October 5, 1999 at her home at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 8 days. Left with memories are a son, Lee Stork of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and David Herrmann of Arlington; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died December 2, 1985; an infant daughter, Donna Mae Stork; 2 sisters, Gertrude Munkelwitz and Mildreth Panning; and 4 brothers: Paul, Ottis, Gilbert and Louie Panning. The family of Wilma Stork wishes to thank you for your kindness and sympathy and invite you to lunch at the parish hall immediately following the committal service. In Memory of Wilma A. Rogers will conduct the service and offer words of comfort. Denise Buss is organist.
