Gassman Wikner, 100, of Sioux Falls, Sd passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Graveside services will be at the Canova Cemetery, Canova, SD in the spring of 2021. Wilma G. Wikner, daughter of William and Gertrude (Eich) Parkhurst, was born January 22, 1920 in Canova, SD. She was raised and educated in Canova, SD. She married Erve Gassman in 1940. To this union they were blessed with three sons, Steve, William and Timothy. Following their marriage, they moved to California. They returned to Sioux Falls, SD in 1956. She worked at Western Finance and then O’Gorman High School as a bookkeeper. She was united in marriage with Robert Wikner on December 23, 1970 in Sioux Falls, SD. He passed away on May 5, 2005. Wlima was a longtime member of Augustana Lutheran Church. She loved to go for walks, enjoyed swimming and coffee with her friends. Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, William Gassman, OK, Tim (Kay) Gassman, Sioux Falls, SD; a step daughter, Julie Kastl, OR; two grandchildren; one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wikner; a son, Steve Gassman; granddaughter, Tammi Gassman; a brother, Marvin; and five sisters, Evelyn, Erlma, Violet, Myrtle and Edna - Miller Funeral Home
