Description	:	Wilma Hope Brookhart, daughter of Roy E. and Lelia Fern Brookhart, was born July 14, 1912 at the farm home north of Nelson, Nebr., and died Aug. 4, 1958 at the Hastings State Hospital at the age of 46 years and 21 days. Hope was a victim of polio when a small child and to the last week of her life was determined to be healed. Early in life she became a member of the Pleasant View United Brethren Church and faithfully attended all its services as long as her health permitted. She graduated from Nelson high school in 1931. Read More	Wilma Hope Brookhart, daughter of Roy E. and Lelia Fern Brookhart, was born July 14, 1912 at the farm home north of Nelson, Nebr., and died Aug. 4, 1958 at the Hastings State Hospital at the age of 46 years and 21 days. Hope was a victim of polio when a small child and to the last week of her life was determined to be healed. Early in life she became a member of the Pleasant View United Brethren Church and faithfully attended all its services as long as her health permitted. She graduated from Nelson high school in 1931. She leaves to mourn her passing her parents, one sister, Mrs. Neva L. Moore, Sutherland, Nebr.; a brother, Maurice E. Brookhart, Bozeman, Mont.; two nieces, three nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was remarkably cheerful and courageous, loyal to friends and devoted to her church and country. Funeral services were held at the Klawitter funeral chapel Wednesday afternoon, with the Reverend Mr. Doyle Hays of the E.U.B. Church in Hastings officiating. The song service was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ferebee of Edgar and Orin Ferebee of Hastings. The casketbearers were Harold Ruttman, Jack Wehrman, Marvin Oltmans, Ivan Gharring, Marvin Ruhga and Glenn Oltmans. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
