(Welch) Lindblad, 89 June 29, 1925 ~ October 1, 2014 Wilma was born June 29, 1925 to John and Ida Belle (Snyder) Welch at Benham, KY. She lived in Kentucky until the age of 5, when her family moved to the Burchard, NE area. She married Raymond Lindblad on September 19, 1942 at Marysville, KS and they lived in Beatrice, NE, from 1942-1955. They farmed in Liberty, NE before moving to Barneston, NE where they lived from 1957-1986. After Raymond passed away on May 18, 1986, Wilma moved back to Beatrice. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beatrice, where she volunteered serving meals and various other activities. She was a member of the Bitting Norman Post #27 of the American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the card club and senior citizens bowling league. Wilma J. Lindblad, 89, of Beatrice, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her home. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 25, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Beatrice with Pastor Greg Gabriel offering words of comfort. Burial of cremains will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NE. There is no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Voice of St. John’s Radio Broadcast, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beatrice, or the American Cancer Society.
